Long Hill Township is located in the most southern part of Morris County, NJ. The community has a total area of 12.1 square miles and has approximately 3,200 housing units. The Township consists of four sections: Gillette (07933), Millington (07946), Stirling (07980), and Meyersville. The community has a mixture of homes from various time periods. Homestead Park is the name of the first subdivision in the Township developed in the 1920s. Other housing developments and neighborhoods include: Clover Hill, Colonial Woods, Sandalwood, Skyline Ridge, Sterling Ridge, Sherbrooke, Sherwood, and Rose Wood Estates.

Townhome and condo communities in Long Hill Township include Centennial Village, Chestnut Run, Meadowview at Millington, Riverside Village, Sunrise at Gillette, and The Knoll at Millington.

Schools

The Long Hill Township School System serves public school students in Kindergarten through eighth grade. Schools in the district are Gillette School (K-1), Millington School (2-5) and Central Middle School (Grades 6-8). High school students in public school attend Watchung Hills Regional High School in Warren Township.

Recreation

There are some great hiking trails and recreational facilities located in and close by the community, which include Hicks Tract, the Watchung Reservation, the Great Swamp Wildlife Refuge, and Stirling Lake.

Commute

Long Hill Township is easily accessible to Interstate 78 for an eastbound commute. Millington, Stirling, and Gillette have train stations on the NJ Transit Gladstone Branch which provides service to NYC.
